Nathaniel B. Duncan

Nathaniel B. Duncan is a 2007 graduate of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers School of Law, where he served as a writer for the Arizona Law Review. Prior to law school, Mr. Duncan attended Tulane University and graduated with a double major in finance and history. After clerking for Bowles & Verna during the summer of 2006, Mr. Duncan accepted a full time associate position and has been with the firm since receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2007.

Before joining Bowles and Verna, Mr. Duncan gained experience as a summer clerk for the Honorable Judge John C. Gemmill, currently Chief Judge of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One. While working for Judge Gemmill, Mr. Duncan acquired an intimate knowledge of the appellate process and drafted several proposed opinions for the Court.

Mr. Duncan’s practice consists primarily of general civil litigation, with a concentration in insurance coverage and construction litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Contra Costa Bar Association.

Personal Information
Nathaniel (Nate) Duncan grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School in 1998, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. Mr. Duncan still plays basketball regularly and counts camping, racquetball, performance driving, and photography among his other interests.
